Anthemning His name…..

the ramblings of a child of the King….

no more my God….

How easily I forget my stance in grace.  I boast in my flesh, am unashamed of my sin, and pursue the glory of Jenn.  This song by Devon Kauflin greatly affected my soul at Na.  It is a needed reminder that I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live.

No more my God, I boast no more,

of everything my hands have done.

I quit the hopes I held before,

to trust the merits’ of your Son.

Now for his love I bare his name.

My former pride I call my shame.

What was my gain, I count my loss.

And I nail my glory to his cross.

And by your grace I will esteem,

all things but loss for Jesus sake.

Oh may my soul be find in him.

And of his righteousness partake

All of the works of my own hands,

I did not bring before your throne.

My faith responds to your demands,

By pleading what my Lord has done.

Now for His love I bare his name

My former pride I call my shame

What was my gain, I count my loss

And I nail my glory to his cross.

Caedmon’s Call does a fantastic version of this as well- it’s on their worship CD - In The Company of Angels.

I really liked this song when you showed it to me in C’ville…and now, with the season I’m in preparing to go to Wales, I LOVE this song. Oh, i want it! What a beautiful picture. My glory being nailed to His cross. What a Savior.
